Remember Ashanti? here she was on the day of her installation. She had relaxed ends and had relaxed her hair for many years previously. The relaxer used to be left on for many hours and at the end of this was still not straight!.
4 Years later and although Ashantis locks have condensed they still have a lot of body.
These 2 pictures are of Ashe, this young lady had a damaged hair line from the relaxer. She decided to cut it out so that she could have Sisterlocks(TM) for her graduation party in 2011. You can barely see her partings in this picture.
This is Ashe only 2 years later and as you can she she has coloured her long and lovely locks which have filled out nicely.
The next picture is of Petal on her installation day in 2012.
You can see the gaps in her hair and she had damage to her temple area.
2 years later and no gaps now
In sixteen months the client above had split ends and relaxer on the lengths of her hair on her installation day, to rocking this style which has become her signature look and gets her a lot of attention.
This is Jamimi on her installation day in 2012.
She had short hair, no relaxer but decided to try Sisterlocks(TM)
Only one year later in 2013 and Jamimis hair is starting to brush the back of her neck in the picture on the left and the picture on the right is Jamimi now in 2015. Her locks are now past her shoulders and have lost their shiny look.
This is Gardenia on the day of her installation in April 2014.
Front shot shows her damaged hair line
Seven months later and her hair is filling in.
In this style I protect her hair line by starting the braid a few inches back.
Gardenia April 2015
Gardenias locks have swollen nicely, and lengthened.
The gaps which were at the nape of her head are all filled in.
Some clients as above maintain most of their density.
Whilst others lose more of the density and keep the length as above.
Another density shot.
Side view of the same client.
Recently installed
On texturized hair.
Ashanti at 3 years.
Ashanti 4 years later and still loving her Sisterlocks(TM) journey and not looking back.
I hope you enjoyed these pictures.
See you next time
