Up do front

This picture shows the front of the up do style. I really liked this look and will do this again but with braids for a tighter curl. Hope you enjoy these pictures. Kittylocks.

Up do

After taking down the twists I loosely pinned up the back and used a hair band to hold up the front to create this style . Kittylocks.

Hair Take down

This is how my hair looked when I took it down. My curls were less defined and looser than when I braid my hair. I don't think that I will do this again as it was a bit more effort in having to twist my hair for this look . Hope you can see this picture as it is a bit dark. Enjoy Kittylocks

Twists

Hi there I love doing my hair in braids and twists when relaxing. I am going to wear these to the gym and sauna tomorrow and will take them out tomorrow night. My hair needs retightening at the moment so it is a bit bushy at the roots enjoy Kittylocks x

So here goes:

1 I have always loved all things natural when it came to hair and wish that I had the information about Sisterlocks(TM) before as I would have had 20 year old locks by now if I knew then what I know now. Wow can you imagine what that would look like?

2 When I left school, I used to be the lead singer in a band named "safita", I am advised that this means freedom, and singing has always played a major role in my life.

3 I love sweets and ice cream but surprisingly I have good teeth lol.

4 I would class my self as a spiritual person as I believe in God and living my life without harming others.

5 I love to dance especially to Salsa and Ballroom and attend the International Ballroom championships every year.

6  I enjoy helping others but even though this gets me in trouble sometimes I will not change the person that I am.

7  My favourite colour is purple.

Day of the Goddess 2011 Part 3

Look at this...

This is one of the organisers and originators of Day of the Goddess events and she looked absolutely wonderful on the day. I wish I had managed to capture a full length picture of her out fit which matched her hair in terms of creativity. You will notice that my picture is absent as I really wanted to share with you the beauty that is woman.

And finally this is "Spiritlocks" whom I maintain her 39 month old Sisterlocks(TM) I just love this colour, it matches her spirit and her smile.

I hope that you enjoyed these pictures from day of the Goddess 2011, I know I will be buying my ticket early for next year as I don't want to miss this.

Day of the Goddess 2011 Part 1

I attended an awe inspiring day for women only to celebrate womanhood named the Day of the Goddess 2011. With consent I managed to snap some beautiful women and have to share them with you. Just look at that smile!

This lady really knows that she is beautiful.

This lady has 6 year old traditional and coloured locks which compliment her skin tone.

Freeform locks 3 years old, so luscious, thick and shiny.

These locks are self self maintained and she has done a lovely job

Self styled using 2 strand twists wow!

No offence to any women not photographed I was having so much fun I just could not photograph everyone. The day entailed drumming, singing, chanting, performances, opportunities to purchase hand crafted items such as clothing, jewelry and hand made oils, scents ....

Time to just be in the company of positive women and celebrate the joy.
